Casa Cubuy is a little slice of paradise. It was great having very few mosquitoes thanks to the tree frogs. The space is beautiful and it’s such a nice way to experience the rainforest in a relaxed manner. The hosts are beautiful people and so is the property, including two private trails to a couple of delightful swimming holes. Absolutely lovely. The room was spacious and included a private patio with a hammock and table and beautiful views of the forest. We stayed three nights but wish we could’ve stayed even longer

"This place is truly fabulous. we knew we wanted to experience the rainforest but with out the overcrowded tour buses and herds of people. this property is in a truly incredible piece of the rainforest, complete with waterfalls and swimming holes immediately behind the hotel plus plenty of incredible hikes just a couple miles from the front door. listening to the frogs and waterfall all night, from our open balcony that over looks this incredible valley was yeoh epic. and seriously, the breakfast is incredible. the property had many great places to hang out, meet other folks, and just relax with multiple decks, all with killer views. the road up is paved but winding. we did take a taxi there from the SJ airport but a car would be nice to drive back into town for dinner. we packed food and made use of the fridge and microwave there with no problems. I CANNOT recommend this place enough, truly a lovely experience".

"Matthew and Marianne's ecolodge and the waterfall it sits atop is genuinely one of the greatest places on earth. Sitting in the calm pool of water in the middle of a waterfall, watching the clouds roll in and out until the sun sets, counting fireflies and listening to the rhythms of the coqui frog and insect chorus at night is an experience I will continue to think about for the rest of my life.
