Take advantage of our private hiking paths at Casa Cubuy Ecolodge and Sierra Palms. These paths lead to scenic get-aways with clear pools for swimming and cascading waterfalls. A short walk up the road, brings you to the South entrance gate of the El Yunque Rainforest proper, complete with a number of different hiking trail options. Our massage therapist is available by appointment.
After a few days of total forest immersion you may wish to venture out on the panoramic route with spectacular views of mountains and the Caribbean.
Drive to Fajardo for snorkeling during the day and kayaking in the bioluminescent bay at night.
Take the ferry from Fajardo or fly from Ceiba to the beautiful island of Vieques and enjoy staying at either our Mi Pana Vacation Apartments in Esperanza or Adventures Inn Hostel in Isabel Segunda.
For an afternoon of adventure and fun exploring waterfalls, whirlpools, and pre Columbian petroglyphs, call Rex Cauldwell at 787-516-9221. You can even try cliff jumping into river pools!
The following activities are within reasonable driving distance of Casa Cubuy Ecolodge:
Visit the beaches, such as Seven Seas Beach in Fajardo, Tropical Beach in Humacao, and Luquillo Beach.
Take a trip to the Visitors Center on the North side of El Yunque.
Try hang gliding and tandem flights.
Go canyoning and rappeling with "Aventuras Tierra Adentro"
Take a boat and snorkel around Monkey Island (Cayo Santiago) with Frank Lopez.
Explore the beaches and lagoons of the Humacao Nature Reserve on Hwy 3, just South of Humacao Beach.
Place a bet on the horse races at the El Comandante.
Go horseback riding at the Carabali horse rental stables or the Palmas del Mar Resort and Golf Course, an excellent horseback riding facility located South of Humacao on Hwy 53.
